    Geography helps you understand the basic physical system that affects everyday life (e.g. earth-sun relationships, water cycles, winds and ocean currents). You can find out where places are, and the physical and cultural characteristic of those places so that we can function more effectively in our increasingly interdependent world, and develop a commitment towards sustainable development.
    Geography is not a required subject for any field of study. However if you enjoy Geography then it does indicate that you have an interest in this field.
