    IIT Guwahati will be conducting the GATE 2026 exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15. Registrations are open from August 28 to September 28 (without late fees) and till October 9 (with late fees). 

    Aspirants have started preparing for the exam, and based on the GATE question paper trends, here's what we can conclude which topics and chapters is expected to carry high weightage -

    Important/High-Weightage Topics for GATE 2026

    Computer Science (CS)

    Computer network, Algorithms, Operating systems, Programming and Data Structures, and Theory of Computation

    Electronics and Communication (EC)

    Digital logic, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Communications, Control Systems, and Analog

    Electrical Engineering (EE)

    Network Analysis, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, and Power Electronics

    Civil Engineering (CE)

    Fluid Mechanics, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, and Concrete Structures.

No, IIT Guwahati has not released GATE exam admit card 2026 yet. The revised date to download GATE hall ticket will be available soon at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The IIIT Bangalore M.Tech Cutoff 2025 has been released for admission for all categories under the All India quota. The closing cutoff in the last round for 2025 was 668 for the General AI category candidates. Whereas, in 2024, the closing cutoff in the last round was 570, indicating  that the competition has increased for the General AI category candidates from 2024 to 2025.

The IIIT Bangalore GATE COAP Cutoff 2025 has been released for admission to the M.Tech course specialisations for all categories under the All India quota. For the General AI category candidates, the last round cutoff score ranged from 555 to 668, wherein M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most sought-after course, followed by MTech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, with the last round cutoff score being 668 and 611, respectively. 

Please note that the cutoff for each category and round will vary accordingly.

The IIIT Bangalore GATE Cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the M.Tech programmes via the COAP counselling process. The cutoff was released for all categories under the All India quota. According to the IIIT Bangalore COAP Cutoff 2025, the closing cutoff score ranged from 522 to 635 for the students belonging to the General AI category, wherein the hardest course for admission was M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, with the cutoff in round 3 being 635.  Students can refer to the table below to know the first and round 3 closing score for the General AI category candidates.
