Which type of job can I get after completing my M.Sc in botany?

Dear Rani As a Post Graduate in Botany, you have opportunities in 1. Nurseries (Both Private and Government) 2. Farm Houses 3. Agricultural Universities as Research Associate 4. Seed Companies 5. Bio Technologies firms etc. In govt. sector, M.Sc - Botany graduates will get job opportunities in 1. Agricultural Department 2. Agricultural Universities 3. Forest Services(IFS) 4.National Park Service 5.Departments of Conservation and Land Management 6.Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services etc. Among these, Indian Forest Service is the main attraction. If you want to continue your studies, You can go for research programs(M.Phil and PhD). The universities will release notification for PhD and M.Phil usually in the month of March-April. Another option is Teaching(Upto HSc Level), BEd in Bological Science is mandatory for teaching jobs. If it is in 12th standard, BEd + SET(STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST) is mandatory. College Lecturer post requires NET after PhD. Now a days teaching posts are highly paid jobs which will give us recognition in the society. Besides teaching is a noble career.
