Lovely Professional University (LPU), situated in Phagwara, in Punjab, India was established in 2005 and started welcoming students in 2006. If you are talking about the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021, the Lovely Professional University was ranked among the top 200 universities of the world. Since its inception, its the first time Lovely Professional University was ever engaged in the rankings and was ranked second-the highest among Indian varsities. Only three Indian varsities made it to the Top 200 varsities in the rankings this year. However, Amity does not figure in the top 200 list.

Hi there, both are good universities. The Ministry of Education, Government of India has released NIRF Ranking 2021. LPU is ranked 62nd on the list of all the government and private universities in the country. University Engineering School is ranked 66th, Management School is ranked 37th, Pharmacy School is ranked 23rd, Architecture is ranked 12th, and Law School is ranked 24th among all Government and Private Universities in India.

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT, commerce, arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .
