Rankings are the outcomes of hard and continuous efforts of the organisation. Not pretty aware about the rankings of Amity but can definitely highlight some for LPU because last year, I inquired regarding admission process for one of my niece and came to know the following: LPU is one the best private university which is recognised by : a. UGC b. National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) c. Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) d. Member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). E. ICAR f. COA f. ACBSP accreditation g. Member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). In addition to this, LPU has many rankings to its credit: 1. Ranked among Top 10 Engineering Institutes in India by India Today in 2016 2. Ranked as 5th In Top 20 Engineering Colleges in India with Excellent Industry Exposure by Higher Education in 2016. 3. Top 50 Private Universities by India Today in 2017 4. Ranked as Best Private University by ASSOCHAM in 2017 5. Ranked 2nd by Hack Earth in the race of most technologically aware crowd thrusting LPU ahead of IITs and NITs 6. LPU is ranked No. 2 among Indian B-Schools in 'Outreach and Inclusivity' by NIRF 2018 ranking released by MHRD, Government of India. 7. The University is ranked 19th in India's Leading Top 50 B-Schools by India Business Journal. 8. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. Just few days ago, NIRF has ranked LPU in top 80 among all private and government institutes. Not only this, Management institutions are in top 50, Pharmacy in top 30 and Engineering among top 100 institutions which shows the quality being delivered at the place. Ranking wise, Amity is less but making rank for LPU isn't that tough if it follows the same criteria, not changing anything but stops the scholarship scheme. It takes just half of the fee than any other institute, and you can witness that LPU has better alumni network than Amity. Even, LPU is well known for its cultural and sports curriculum. So, LPU should definitely be preferred over Amity University.

When the first committee began debating the creation of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Smriti Irani made it clear that students were the most important stakeholders in this exercise. The committee recommended a set of parameters to be judged, most of which were to be based on objective criteria. Since colleges were an important part of the Indian education system, NIRF created a separate ranking system for colleges. The NIRF looks for a good learning environment, a good research culture, impact of graduates, social inclusivity and, finally, reputation among the public, peers and employers. The last criteria were not supposed to get too much weight. LPU is home to more than 30,000 students, about 4,000+ staff and faculty members. The prestigious university offers more than 200 courses to students who come to the university from different parts of the country. The university is seen as the largest single-campus private university in India If you have to check the overall growth of the two universities LPU has scored among the best 100 universities with the 78th rank: NIRF ranking received by LPU recently is as follows : Overall 99 University 78 Engineering 87 Pharmacy 29 Management 49 LPU has been awarded National Employability 2020 award for Best Placements wherein its B.Tech student grabbed a 42LPA from Microsoft and has also made several records for maximum no.
