Dear Aspirant, Chitkara, LPU, and CU are good private institutes and doing great in the education sector. I have done M.Tech from LPU and my friends completed M.Sc. In Mathematics there. As far as I know, there is a number of opportunities for this programme at LPU. I will share the details of this programme with you. ADVANCED DISCRETE MATHEMATICS: Discrete mathematics is the study of mathematical structures like combinations, graphs, and logical statements that are countable or otherwise distinct and separable. CALCULUS OF VARIATION AND INTEGRAL EQUATIONS: This course provides the knowledge of maximizing or minimizing functional which are mappings from a set of functions to the real numbers and provides the understanding of the solution of an integral equation. Three DISSERTATIONs: These develop the understanding and advanced skills acquired on their programme by applying them to a significant and advanced practical problem and provide an intellectually stimulating environment in which students have the opportunity to develop their skills to their full potential to pursue research ELASTICITY: This course deals with the recent development of research related to elasticity. FUZZY SET THEORY AND APPLICATION: Provide insight into fuzzy logic technology and fuzzy system design methodologies. Focuses on providing fundamental knowledge of fuzzy relation and fuzzy decision making. INTEGRATION THEORY: Provide necessary background for advanced courses based on measure theory and convergence. Focuses on metric space and normed space. INTERNSHIP: It is designed to enhance classroom learning by providing students with on-the-job work experience. Projects-I and II: These courses develop the understanding and advanced skills acquired in their programme by applying them to a significant and advanced practical problem. And develop the capacity for learning and logical thinking. It is suitable for students aiming to pursue research and for students going into other careers. TOPOLOGY: Provide knowledge about the relation between Topological space, Metrization, and solution of the topological problem with the help of Algebra as a fundamental group. MATHEMATICAL APTITUDE: This course is specifically designed to help the students to crack competitive exams like GATE NET and to gain more knowledge of courses other than regular courses. Both institutes are doing great in education but I don't have much details for chitkara or CU but I can highlight some of the facts of LPU on the basis of feedback received by Alumni's of LPU: #LPU being in education since last 18 years has fetched many rankings to its credit as compared to any other institute. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. #Several big brands of the industry have visited LPU campus during academic sessions. # Students are also provided with on job trainings, industrial exposures inculcating in them modern management skills. #LPU believes in delivering the quality, for same, it has hired faculty from the reputed institutes like IITs, NITs. The syllabus is vetted from the company officials of Cognizant, SAP, Microsoft etc. To provide updated curriculum. #LPU has his own space shuttle programme, where students and faculty members are working on satellite programme with the joint help of ISRO. #If you consider placements, LPU outperforms in that as well by assisting the student to get the highest package by making the student prepare for the placements. I tell you a girl named Tanya got placed in Microsoft at 42 LPA and many more students got hefty packages which I doubt students have cracked at the other mentioned institute. All the Best. !
