School of Computer Application organize many Faculty Development Programs and Training Sessions from time to time to keep its faculty members up-to date. Few examples: "Google Colab" for all the faculty members of the School. The session was conducted by Dr. Amar Singh from System and Architecture domain enlighten the faculty members on Google Laboratory aka Colab that allows anybody to write and execute arbitrary python code through the browser, and is especially well suited to machine learning, data analysis and education. "E Content Development Using Moodlecloud". Mr. Manikant Roy, Assitant Professor, System and Architecture domain was the resource person during the session. School of Computer Application has the high focus on research and development, dedicated to achieve excellence across a broad range of research areas, to increase awareness, communal progress, and industrial development and eventually benefit different segments of the society as a whole. School is enriched with highly competent and experienced doctorate faculty specialised in the different areas of research. School is continuously excelling in publishing quality research papers with high impact factor journals, getting the patent filed and working on the funded research projects. More than hundred research scholars are getting benefits and pursuing their research activities under the guidance of respective domain experts. Research Thrust Areas From time to time, the School has identified diverse thrust areas of research by keeping need of the hour in mind. Several research projects and studies are done in inter disciplinary areas. LPU has about 2300 faculty members, out of which more than 700 are PHDs, 100+ Post doctoral and more than 200 from IITs and IIMS. Apart from these LPU attracts faculty from USA, Slovakia, Germany, France, Serbia, Russia, Romania, Portugal, Poland, Netherlands, Brazil, China, Ukraine, Turkey, Togo, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Columbia etc. So, not only well, qualified, LPU boasts of a huge diversity of faculty from all across the world. LPU is the leading private university. It has dedicated, experienced, specialised and well qualified faculty members (M.Tech. Qualified, M.Phil Ph.D. from IITs, IIITs, NITs, and various other reputed institutions. Some even have field/ industry experience. The students achieve the most because of the efforts made on them by the faculty members, the knowledge they provide, the experience they share leads to the base for the students to achieve success. Highly experienced faculty with good research work and publication is adding immense value to the academic life. Most of them have years of research and teaching experience. The faculty is not only experienced but is updated with the latest learning by industry experts in the faculty development programs held at regular intervals. LPU has a collaboration with Google to provide specialization Android courses to the B.Tech/IT/CSE/Engineering students. LPU provides free training on SAP Business Suite to the students leading them to the SAP Consultant Certification. LPU has a tie-up with VMware IT ACADEMY for giving students and faculty exposure to products like vSAN, sphere, NSX, Workspace, Airwatch and cloud, including certifications. LPU was ranked SECOND by Hacker Earth leaving behind most IITs among more than 5000 universities, from all around the world. LPU students designed and created India's 1st Solar-Powered driverless bus which was featured in various national media and which made a maiden run in the Indian Science Congress 2019 held by LPU, which was inaugurated by The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. And many more, with great placement opportunities, there is a very good holistic environment for one to study and get ready for the corporate world while sharpening your skills and knowledge. The placements at LPU are almost unexpected. Some gets a really good package while some get very less, it depends upon your portfolio and the interview. Mostly, the interviews matter a lot. If you did well over there you will definitely get a good job. Recently in the Amazon placement drive, 15-16 students got a package in the range of 11-16 Lacs and it's a good package, Tanya Arora she got 42 LPA from Microsoft. But at the same point, there are some companies who took the students at the package of 3.5-34.5 Lacs. There will be many placement drives conducted by Tech Mahindra, Samsung, Koni Labs, Hitachi, Honda and many more. It depends on how you perform. Innovative and productive environment, more emphasis on practical sessions with the benefit of having a ragging-free campus.

Being the alumni of LPU. I would like to share that the faculty members at LPU always burn the midnight oil so that their students outshine in their respective fields as well as careers. LPU composed of the best faculty members from IIM, IITs and the other best B schools. Maximum faculty members are PhD's or pursuing the same. One of the most interesting thing is that very recently LPU has propounded an app through which the students could communicate their grievances, discussions or other material could also be uploaded by the professors on it. I believe this is the best platform where the students could at point of time discuss anything to their faculty members. This would also lead to the better understanding between both the levels. Research papers, Book chapters, Patents are playing protagonist in the life of professors so this could also decline the gap between the professors and students. LPU has also collaborated with foreign faculty members, so the students are also getting the opportunities to interact with them.

Being an alumni of this University, I would like to answer your query, First of all my experience at LPU was amazing, LPU is helping me grow professionally and personally with its career-oriented programs and support. As per my knowledge, Lovely Professional University has around more than 2000 faculty members in the university. The university has experienced, specialised and well-qualified faculty members. Some of the faculty members are from IITs, NITs, IIITs, Iims etc. Faculty members are highly qualified, most of the faculty members have done their Ph.D. and others are pursuing, They have at least minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical knowledge. They are cooperative and whenever you need their help they are ready to help you out. Professors of LPU are renowned for their friendly, open door approach. They bring their passion and enthusiasm for teaching into the classroom providing an intimate, interactive, personalized approach to learning The faculty members are invited by the International Universities for the seminars and conferences of International level. Research papers are published by the Faculty members. Faculty is involved in research and Patents are filed by the different faculty departments also. The faculty recruited by the university are only either experienced or an alumni of NIT's or IIT's, Iims Teaching mode is English, thus students who come from across India will be comfortable. The management is student friendly and helps out every one in need. Thee best part at LPU is that the feedback of students are frequently taken and considered I. e if they are facing any problem with any professor or not liking the way he teaches then they can report it to head of dept who reports the same to head of school and finally the teacher gets replaced. So no need to worry about faculty member or professors at LPU.
