Which University hostels is safe for girls between CU and LPU.

Without any doubt, lpu hostels are the safest for girls. Because there is strict security guards at hostel and at the main GATE and cctv at each floor and each GATE. Means each area of lpu is covered by cctv.

Being an alumni of Lovely Professional University, I can challenge you that Lovely Professional University is safe in all aspects. We all know that the major concern of the parents is the security and safety of their children and LPU is well known for its security. Turnstiles gates are there at the entry of hostels so that no other person should enter the hostel. There are students of all races, communities, cultures, tradition, countries etc. Studying here in the university from all over India and the world. With quality education, LPU provides good holistic development of the students to tackle the corporate world and achieve ones dream. The rules and regulations are very tough in the campus. If someone found doing any kind misbehave inside the campus, strict action is taken by the management against the person. This University have stringent security measures and is Guarded by highly dedicated Security male and Female Guards deputed all around the premises. This University have Centralized Security Control Room with 4500+ CCTV cameras all around the university. Hostelers (Girls) are not allowed to go outside the university at any given point of time, to go outside the university, permissions from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. The university is secured completely with high walls, barbed wires, security guards and CCTVs so no loop holes where they can sneak from. Girls have to enter their specific hostels in specified time duration 7 pm, and they cannot come out the hostels as boys are allowed to roam the university till night. No outsiders are allowed in the university without a GATE pass. Meaning even if parents of students come for visit, they have the access to university through GATE pass only. Any publicly offensive acts are clearly not allowed in the university and strict actions are taken against such act. Other than this if any girl or boys faces any issues regarding anything that she faces, she can file a complain of the RMS, against that particular issues or person, strict actions are taken immediately by the authorities. Other than this, in case of emotional breakdowns, there are happiness cells available in the university where anyone can go and discuss their problems The Higher Authorities of the University, Mr. Ashok Mittal, Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor, MS Rashmi Mittal personally interact with the students and address the issues on priority and make sure that safety of Student remains a priority as students.

Hi Sanju, I feel LPU is more safer than any other university for girls. LPU has female security guards as well. LPU has 24/7 security and cctv surveillance. No boy is allowed to enter girls hostel. Even if security sees any boy misbehaving with a girl that boy will be sued UMC. No girl is allowed to go out of college without informing their parents. During winter, girls will be sent inside hostels by 6:30pm and after that no one is allowed to exit out of hostel. All the things required for them will be available inside hostel itself. Food, necessary things etc. Everything will be inside hostel itself.

Ha. Both the hostels are safe. I don't think safety of girls is an issue nowadays. But as far as infrastructure is concerned, Chandigarh university's is better in every aspect including cultural diversity, proximity to city and Economy of scale. It is NIRF and NAAC A+ ranked.

Sanctity of The Hostels The hostels being a part of the University premises deserve a sacred status. Use of bad and abusive language should be avoided within the hostel / University premises. Students are not permitted to keep-in-their possession, room crackers, dangerous weapons, firearms, contraband items or instruments that can cause serious injury to others. Students should not indulge in any illegal and/or unethical activity on the hostel premises. Smoking, consumption of alcoholic drinks and use of narcotic drugs in the hostel premises is strictly prohibited. Neither the students nor their visitors are allowed to bring or consume liquor, drugs, or any other intoxicants in the hostel premises. Severe action will be taken against those in possession of drugs or found under their influence.
