Which university is best for journalism between LPU and MSU?

HiLPU would be my option as it realizes that paradigm changes are happening around the world. Rapidly changing business landscape requires young leaders to not only understand developing economies but also develop a global perspective at the same time in order to be an integral part of the growth of the economy. LPU has been ranked by NIRF among the top 100 universities including the IITs because of its worth. LPU gives a good platform to its students and wide exposure to show case their talent especially when world famous dignitaries come and student interview the. They gain many tie ups this way and enter the market. The students are working in the ANI, Radio Mirchi, NDTV, News9 etc. , These and many more such reasons would entice me for selecting LPU. LPU has various courses in design like fashion, multimedia, gaming, graphics, film and TV production, product and interior. LPU offers full exposure to industry production pipeline, emphasis on strengthening visualization and creative thinking, training on the latest industry relevant software, focus on practical work to enable students to handle and deliver industry standard projects/outputs etc. Are some prominent features of LPU. LPU has 20+ faculty members with right mix of industry and academic experiences. There are many live projects in LPU. Students are also working with international clients in US too at good packages. Dear Vidhi, As per my knowledge Lovely Professional University offers B.A. (Journalism & Mass Communication). One of my cousin has completed B.J. M. C. programme from this University. LPU does offer a course B.A. (Journalism and Mass Communication) which is designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic and New Age Media. Focus on enhancing technical skills of reporting, news design software, video editing, photography etc. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants). Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons / Co-curricular Competitive events, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, projects with NGOs etc. Are an integral part of curriculum. The candidate may get an option for Credit Transfer, International Exposure Option and Semester Exchange as decided by the University subject to conditions.

Few things you should keep on your mind prior to proceed for Journalism degree from any college, 1. Do they have an experienced faculty (Faculty must have expertise in theory and practical both). 2. Do they have Adequate/appropriate equipment to make you expert in handling them? 3. Do they have Audio/Video studio to teach them practically. 4. Are they running any Media house? 5. Do they provide the platform to you for doing practices? 6. Do they have such atmosphere where you can have an experience to perform practically? 7. Do they have Industrial Tie-ups? 8. Do they provide Teachings from external experts? LPU is preferred because it provides all above mentioned salient features. LPU is produces smart and Intelligent journalists. Not only journalists you can find LPU journalism students at various sectors of Media and Entertainment. For e. g. : I know one LPU Student who got placed as a Celebrity Manager in T-series. The well qualified doctorate faculty and many industry experts make a great faculty combination at LPU. LPU has Adequate/appropriate equipment which they use on regular basis for making their children well trained even practically. A separate Professional Audio and Large size Video Studio. Multimedia and Animation electives add on the spark to the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
