    CU has the best automobile engineering setup among these two universities. Talking about Automobile Engineering, university is providing their best to make automobile department as a recognised department in the university.     If we compare LPU and Chandigarh University the most attracting and benefiting aspect for admission is placement. No doubt the number of students getting admitted is increasing year by year which is totally based on placement scenario. This is something Chandigarh University has always managed to give its students. When it comes to Automobile Engineering 95% to 98% of our seniors have been placed in top-notch companies such as HERO MOTORCYCLES, HYUNDAI, ESCORTS, TAFE and many more. There are continuous efforts by faculty to contribute to enlistment of student's career. Placements in Chandigarh University has been par beyond excellence.

A candidate seeking admission in LPU Admission Office is required to take an entrance exam called LPUNEST (PhD) which is not applicable for candidates who have valid exemption criteria such as UGC NET/JRF, CSIR NET/JRF, GATE, GPAT, or M.Phil. (regular mode). These candidates are directly appearing for the interview. Admission selection is based on 70% entrance test and 30% performance in the interview. Candidates will be required to apply online through the LPU ADMIT portal along with document verification and payment of fees at the time of selection.

Minimum eligibility for pursuing an MBA from LPU has a Bachelor's degree with at least 55% aggregate marks. However, graduates from the CS, CA, or CMA qualifications are also eligible to apply.
