You need to do your bachelors from a college which has maximum practical exposure as well as internships to give hands on knowledge and experience. As much as theoretical knowledge is important, its practical application of the same which holds the key to success. You must chose the college which has: Curriculum : If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback of industry. Since engineering is going to have a sea change in how the things work, is a highly dynamic, you can't afford a program which is stuck in obsolete technologies. Pedagogy : The teaching pedagogy forma the backbone of how the program is delivered, more the practical, better it is. Maximum exposure to practicals and internships more chances of becoming a well rounded professional. Technology: The businesses and the business functions are now highly tech driven, the tech program must have the exposure and training of the same. The world leading technologies like CAD, SAP, GitHub, Advance excel, etc. are must for any professional to succeed in career. Industry interface: Ultimately its the industry which is going to immerse the students in the placements, the regular industrial talks, interactions, lectures, visits and internships are must have in any tech program. Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days, the personality, ethics, virtuous, speech, body language, interpersonal skills, etc. are given high importance in the organisations. The program must include the training or modules on all these. Diversity: As he world shrinks into a aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross cultural teams having entirely different work culture and ethos, the national and international diversity of students in a college is helpful in enabling the students develop right sensibilities for such work atmosphere. Entrepreneurship : Even though most of the students go for jobs, the exposure to entrepreneurship is required. This helps the professionals know how the other departments and the profit center heads work. The college must have innovation labs, design thinking and business incubator. Placements : The program is only means to the end and desired end of such course is a placement. You must check if the college/university has sold track record of placements or not. I can vouch for LPU surely as it has excelled in all these parameters and is far ahead from almost all the parameters discussed above.

Hello, I did my Engineering from Lovely Professional University, The subjects in which B.Tech is offered are computer science,petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, bioinformatics engineering, aeronautical engineering, aerospace engineering, IT, electrical engineering, and electrical & electronics engineering. From my personal opinion, being a student, I got all the facilities, resources and support from LPU. The major points that I would like to appreciate are : The institute has tie-up with various industries like Google, Intel, Dell EMC, Cisco, SAP. VMware, and Pega for technological advances. Such tie ups helps us for our projects, internships and trainings. Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, are an integral part of the curriculum. All these workshops and classes are held within the campus, so you need not to search out for such certifications. Summer trainings, full-term optional / compulsory internships, On-the-job trainings, study tours, and skill enhancement events and workshops are extensively integrated in LPU curriculum. They expose students to real work environments and provide an opportunity to apply their learning in real life situations. On-site experience has been gained by our students through industry internships in corporate giants like Cognizant, Microsoft, Infosys, ABB, ISRO, Simplex to name a few. LPU offers various opportunities for students to work directly with industry on Live and Entrepreneurial projects. Industry projects give our students insights about latest trends in the corporate world and help them become competitive and ready for the real world. LPU is a brand in itself. It has been ranked as one of the best universities by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its placements, its pedagogy, its faculty, to mention a few. Dear Mahesh, I am pursing Ph.D. Computer Science from Lovely Professional University, I keep on visiting the campus and is in regular with faculty members. Also, I have once visited CU, for one of my research paper. I will share my experience regarding both the universities. While looking for admission in any university, there are few parameters to be noted down and then you can compare accordingly. First parameter should be Curriculum: Since I am a LPU student, I am well worse with their curriculum, LPU follows updated syllabus and keeps on revising it as per the student and industry needs. CU follows a set pattern and abides by it completely. Next important factor to be considered is well-equipped Labs, let me tell you honestly, this is my first reason to choose LPU for my research part, as they have well-equipped labs with completely the latest technology so you need to worry about your projects and research. CU on the other hand has limited resources in this case. Next factor to be counted upon is Placement, for you. Since the day I am attached with LPU, I found every now and then there are placement drives being conducted and students are being prepared day and night for the same. I cant say anything on the placement parameter of CU, for that you can refer their website. Next factor is Faculty involved, Most of the faculty at LPU are Ph.D. and many of them are from renowned universities such as IIT, IIM and even abroad. My own Ph.D. mentor is an alumnus of IIT Guwahati and holds few patents and has a list of research papers published by him. At CU, I found faculty members were good but not as capable as of LPU. Another factor to be looked after is Recognitions, which can directly be compared from their respective websites. In this parameter also, LPU takes a lead. Now, regarding Internships, one of the important factor again for graduation student, As per my knowledge, Summer trainings, full-term optional / compulsory internships, On-the-job trainings, study tours, and skill enhancement events and workshops are extensively integrated in LPU curriculum. They expose students to real work environments and provide an opportunity to apply their learning in real life situations. So if we conclude on the overall parameters, LPU has an edge over CU. But still, I would advise you to visit their websites in detail and speak to the admission counselors.

Chandigarh University (CU) is better than LPU for B.Tech courses because the curricula of B.Tech programs in association with other non-engineering streams are extensively designed based on the feedback received from Alumni, Industry personnel, eminent experts from National (IITs and NITs) and International Universities (300+ Universities having MoU with CU). Moreover, the Placement scenario of CU is far better than LPU in B-Techs which is evident from its fame in securing its position in Limca Book of Records for "the highest Number of Companies for Campus Placements in a single academic year. " Laboratory infrastructure and teaching learning pedagogy is comparable to any reputed international university. So taking into consideration B.Tech from CU is far more better than LPU!
