Question

Dharamveer Dheer · Answer

I am sure both must be doing well, usually there are some parameters on which the colleges/universities are compared, these are: Curriculum : If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback of industry. Since IT is a highly dynamic field, you cant afford a programme which is stuck in obsolete technologies and syllabi. Pedagogy : The teaching pedagogy forms the backbone of how the programme is delivered, more the practical, better it is. Maximum exposure to practicals and internships more chances of becoming a well rounded professional. Technology: The businesses and the business functions are now highly tech driven, the tech programme must have the exposure and training of the same. The world leading technologies like GitHub, Advance excel etc. Are must for any professional to succeed in career. Industry interface: Ultimately its the industry which is going to immerse the students in the placements, the regular industrial talks, interactions, lectures, visits and internships are must have in any tech programme. Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days, the personality, ethics, virtuous, speech, body language, interpersonal skills etc. Are given high importance in the organisations. Diversity: As he world shrinks into a aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross cultural teams having entirely different work culture and ethos, the national and international diversity of students in a college is helpful in enabling the students develop right sensibilities for such work atmosphere. Entrepreneurship : Even though most of the students go for jobs, the exposure to entrepreneurship is required. This helps the professionals know how the other departments and the profit center heads work, what are the expectations etc. The college must have innovation labs, design thinking and business incubator. Community service: A bit of community projects in between the course are very important to develop the humane side of the person as well as learn the organizing skills. Placements : The programme is only means to the end ! And desired end of such course is a placement. You must check if the college/university has sold track record of placements or not. On ll these parameters, per my 16 years of experience both of them are far behind LPU, which has excelled by leaps and bounds on back of its stellar track record in every possible parameter. DVD.

Hi Isha, I seriously do not want to compare Chitkara and CU. Chitkara is far better than CU. Chitkara has an experience of 2 decades whereas CU is not that efficient. If you really want to search an Institution in the same zone or Punjab vicinity I would advice you to search for LPU also. Rather I would say Lovely Professional University has more potential than these mentioned names. Online admissions are going on and for maximum scholarship benefit you should take admission prior to 20th Sep 2020. To check the eligibility criteria you can visit www.lpu.in and can call them on their toll free number. All the Best.
