ICFAI stands better chance due to its brand name and education imparting methodologies.

ICFAI is a better university for all distance courses in Management. It is better in terms of student support whereas SMU has the worst student support. -
If you would like to enrol for MBA in IGNOU, you will have to provide them a letter of 3 years of work experience and they will also take entrance test. But in ICFAI, they will not ask for experience letter and won't take any entrance test. I heard from many people that IGNOU is harder. According to me, ICFAI would be the best option for you. -

If you are looking for a distance education you can opt for a university which is recognised with UGC-DEB. However, you will also find better universities with more flexible learning methodology (like live interactive learning, mobile application and expert's sessions).
