There is no point to compare because every organisation is just doing good at their places but yes I have heard alot about LPU because of its good number of years of establishment and the rankings it possess. Last year my friend wanted to admit his son in good engineering institute. After lot of inquiry, we decided to opt for LPU. As we all know that B.Tech Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering that involves production, designing, and operations of machines and the main objective of LPU is to prepare students for applying the principles of mechanical engineering for designing, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. LPU provides the different areas under study such as Applied Mechanics, Machine Design, Materials Engineering, manufacturing Engineering and many more. It has been ranked as one of the best universities by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its placements, its pedagogy, its faculty, to mention a few. The university leaves no stone unturned to shape the future of its students. It is definitely the first choice of both national and international students. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. Big companies like Google, Tech Mahendra, CVENT, ANGLO EASTERN SHIP MANAGEMENT LTD. , Cognizant, Amazon, etc. Come for recruitment purpose. Hi Harsha, The choice lies with you only. Both are equally good, rather nowadays private universities are putting more effort than some of the NIT's or even young IIT's. For NIT one has to crank JEE Mains whereas for LPU one can crack LPU NEST. I am not saying that LPU NEST is easier than JEE Mains or difficult. Here I just want to tell you about the value addition, Where it might be possible that LPU is putting more efforts to make Industry ready product. First of all the difference is in the specializations. LPU offers large number of industry specific specializations, highly coveted Computer Science Engineering along with the function specific ones, while you can easily count the total number of classes in NIT's.
