Apart from IIT, top colleges for Mechanical Engineering are National Institute of Technology, R. V. College of Engineering, Delhi Technological University, College of Engineering Pune, UPES Dehradun, Lovely Professional University etc. Honestly I don't have idea about SRm University placements for mechanical Engineering, I would say Lovely Professional University is the best engineering college in India.
