UID means Unitedworld Institute of Design which is the flagship wing of Karnavati University located at Gandhinagar Gujarat. It has no connection with any University in Chandigarh. UID is much better and way ahead than any other Institute or University offering Designing programme. UID has the best infrastructure and faculty resources in the country with 18 huge design workshops with modern tools and amenities. The students are getting good internships and placements every year. The student life is very vibrant and the campus environment is also very safe and festive. UID is a better choice any day according to my personal opinion.

Dear Readers, Open Your eyes, please learn this - the actual UID is in Ahmedabad. The question is bit confusing. I must say, UID [Unitedworld Institute of Design] is a constituent college of Karnavati University, Ahmedabad. UID is India's Best Private Design college. Which is no where linked with Chandigarh University. UID is better known for its Infrastructure, Placement, Internships, course pedagogy, the world class faculty members mostly ex NIDians and NIFTians. Guys, if u could secure a seat at UID, then that's the best choice and you will forever sail in your career! Securing a seat at UID is not that easy. My best wishes to all D

Industrial design from CU is a better option. The studios and workshops are fantastic and the overall infrastructure is excellent. Teachers are quite helpful and guide us through every step of our learning. Good exposure to the industrial environment is provided through regular workshops and industrial visits. Experts from the renowned design studios across India visit CU. Moreover, CU has been awarded A+ by NAAC.

UID, Karnavati University would be a better option anyday. The best infrastructure, the best faculty, the best location, the best industrial linkages, great internships, world class amenities, real time workshops, good placements. I mean what more can you ask for as a student? I guess if possible you should seriously visit their campus. I'm sure, you'll love it to the bits. UID anyday comes amongst the top colleges for design.
