Which university is better for UID- industrial design course, Chandigarh University or LPU?

Dear Rahul, In 16 years of my career I have learnt a lot on comparing the universities and programs, you must compare them on following: # Curriculum : If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback of industry. Since it is a highly dynamic field, you cant afford a programme which is stuck in obsolete syllabi. # Pedagogy : The teaching pedagogy formal the backbone of how the programme is delivered, more the practical, better it is. Maximum exposure to practicals and internships more chances of becoming a well rounded professional. # Industry interface: Ultimately its the industry which is going to immerse the students in the placements, the regular industrial talks, interactions, lectures, visits and internships are must have in any tech programme # Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days, the personality, ethics, virtuous, speech, body language, interpersonal skills etc. Are given high importance in the organisations. The programme must include the training or modules on all these. # Diversity: As he world shrinks into a aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross cultural teams having entirely different work culture and ethos, the national and international diversity of students in a college is helpful in enabling the students develop right sensibilities for such work atmosphere. # Entrepreneurship : Even though most of the students go for jobs, the exposure to entrepreneurship is required. The college must have innovation labs, design thinking and business incubator. # Community service: A bit of community projects in between the course are very important to develop the humane side of the person as well as learn the organizing skills. # Placements : The programme is only means to the end and desired end of such course is a placement. You must check if the college/university has sold track record of placements or not. In all these parameters LPU is a clear winner by miles, its track record of attracting 30000 students, 700 companies and 200 plus international university tie ups speaks for itself. The Chandigarh University is among the best private university to have been accredited with NAAC A+ accreditation and has gained ranking in NIRF. The Chandigarh University has also recorded its name in Limca Book of World Records for maximum number of placements. The university has best infrastructural facilities and provides best placement opportunities to the students. You should definitely go for Chandigarh university. Chandigarh University's Industrial Design programme is a four-year Bachelor's degree programme in design. The programme is aimed to prepare aspiring designers for careers in the industry. Chandigarh University is best in all the courses. Degree in Industrial design is very good at Chandigarh University. The department of Industrial design has fully equipped Designed studios and dedicated Workshops. The faculty is also well qualified and experienced. There are time to time workshops held by designers who already are a part of industry. The department focuses on the practical aspects of the design. CU has also been awarded with the title "University with Best Placements" in India. My recommendation is for Chandigarh University. You can go for CU.
