I am sure both must be doing well, usually there are some parameters on which the colleges/universities are compared, these are:
Curriculum : If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback of industry. Since IT is a highly dynamic field, you cant afford a programme which is stuck in obsolete technologies and syllabi. Pedagogy : The teaching pedagogy forms the backbone of how the programme is delivered, more the practical, better it is. Maximum exposure to practicals and internships more chances of becoming a well rounded professional. Industry interface: Ultimately its the industry which

I have Completed MBA from this University and my experience at the LPU has been delightful thus far. It provides for multiple industrial exposures, live projects, an updated curriculum rigor and technology along with very good placements and personality development. LPU is helping me grow professionally and personally with its career-oriented programs and support. I stayed in LPU hostel during my post graduation years, and I had few friends from BCA course so I have idea about this course. For BCA placements, Chandigarh University creates a very student-friendly environment. The university offers a dedicated School of Computing, where students learn from qualified faculty—many of whom have experience in industry and research. Apart from classroom learning, students can earn global certifications from Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, and Oracle, which help a lot during placements. CU's placement cell also helps students build portfolios and prepare for job interviews. In 2024, BCA students were recruited in sectors like software testing, web development, digital marketing, and mobile app development.

    Hello there,

If you are planning to pursue a BCA and are particularly focused on placements, then Lovely Professional University (LPU) is definitely the best choice among Chandigarh University (CU), Chitkara University, and LPU.

LPU has built a strong reputation when it comes to placements for BCA students. Companies like Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, IBM, and many start-ups visit LPU every year, offering diverse job roles. The highest package for a BCA graduate from LPU has been around INR 10 to 12 Lacs per annum, while the average package comfortably falls between INR 4 to 6 Lacs per annum, which is very encouraging for fresh gradua

As far as these colleges are concern, both are good but I would prefer Lovely Professional University. LPU is much better than any other University. Hi there,

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT,   commerce,   arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .

I hope this helps,

Thank you.

Both Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are known for engineering, but if we think of Electrical Engineering, LPU appears better in many ways. As a student, I personally feel that LPU has a very practical approach to learning. Their labs are state of the art, and well-resourced, and I find that the faculty usually support us to work on real-time projects, which build confidence to take on challenges in industry. After you log in to the counselling portal after the results go out, you need to honestly fill your choices of course/specialization.
