Dear Sakshi, I am not much aware of the hotel management course at SRM university but I can tell you about this course at LPU as my cousin did this programme there, Let me share few points about the Hotel Management programme at LPU : Curriculum: High academic standards are maintained by offering the curriculum framed in consultation with industry experts. Student exposure: Being a part of a resource-rich University, the students have an advantage of interdisciplinary exposure which is not possible in standalone colleges. University-Hotel: The School also trains its students in the campus hotel named UniHotel of 25 rooms hosting national and international guests where students practice along with the staff. Infrastructure: The School has five modern kitchens with two bakeries. All kitchen and bakery are equipped to enable a student to perform scientifically and to attain their best of learning through most modern gazettes. We have few training restaurants to teach a student about the authentic serving style of food and beverage. We are equipped with one front office laboratory, two housekeeping laboratories, two computer laboratories with 60 computers, and a simulation laboratory for aviation. Placement: 100% placements record with minimum 10% students selected as Management Trainee (Junior Executive level) till date and the placement is with brands like Cox & Kings, Carnival Cruise, JET Airways, Oberoi, Taj, Leela, etc. Package: Six students were offered the package of Rs 8 Lacs by Carnival Cruise in last years. Internship: Industry internships in top national and international five-star hotel brands like The Leela Palace, ITC, Taj, Oberoi, The Grand, Marriott, etc. Intellectual Strength: Faculty members with a holistic blend of academic & industrial exposure. Hotel management graduates can not only earn good salaries but also get good growth opportunities in India as well as abroad. So I must say that LPU would be the best option for pursuing the course for HOTEL MANAGEMENT. As university possess a hotel which not only give practical exposure but also the real time ELIGIBILITY :Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. Hi Sakshi, In North India, I must say LPU is might be as good as IHM's in North India. And yes LPU does offer a Bachelors degree in Hospitality and Airline Tourism. Placements are very good ATIT salary packages are very good. In fact, I have heard few overseas placements also. LPU provides 4 Hospitality courses: 1) B.Sc. Hotel Management. 3 years. 2) Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. 4 years. 3) B.Sc. (Airlines, Tourism, and Hospitality) 3 years. 4) Diploma in Airline Cabin Crew and Hospitality. 1 Year LPU has eligibility Criteria also: Candidate must have 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 and English subject must have studied. UGC has been declared SRMIST as Deemed to be University and have 32 NIRF ranking. While the LPU is a state private University approved by UGC. The LPU have NIRF ranking of 99. So SRMIST can be best here.
