Between the two, Thapar University usually takes the edge for CSE.

It has stronger academics, labs, placements, and peer environment, while LPU is more flexible and easier to get into. If you want exposure and future opportunities, Thapar's the safer bet.

We should not compare the two, both the universities are good at their place. But as a student of LPU I would like to say LPU is best because in India LPU is one of best private university. Even though Lovely Professional University has better infrastructure and facilities, Thapar University is the better option for any branch of Engineering.
