GNDU is a government university, whereas LPU is a private university. Both have good placements. But in spite of these universities Chandigarh University Mohali is one of the best university for placements point of view. There have been more than 60 MNCs that have recruited Engineering students from Chandigarh University, IITs, and NIT whereas there have been 40+ MNCs who have commonly recruited fresh talent from the University School of Business at Chandigarh University and Iims. Apart from it, some of the leading multinationals which regularly recruit CU students to include Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Hewlett Packard, SAP Labs, Hitachi, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Grail Research, TAFE, John Deere, Schindler, Deepak Nitrate, Mindtree, The Taj, Oberoi, Hyatt, Vistara and Jet Airways.

According to LPU officials they usually says that they provide 100% placements to all the eligible and placement aspiring candidates. More than 700 giant companies are visiting University campus to recruit the Industry ready candidates made by LPU. More than 900 drives are being conducted in a year. Now just imagine there are only 365 days in a year, and 900 placement drives are the big number, which simply means that students might witness 4-5 drives at every alternative days.
