Which university should I choose among JIMS and LPU for Hotel Management?

Dear Pragati, I will suggest LPU between LPU and JIMS for the hotel management programme. My friend did B.Sc. In hotel management from LPU and got placed in a reputed hotel. He did his internship at Le-Meridian Hotel Delhi. Let me share few points about the Hotel Management programme at LPU : Curriculum: High academic standards are maintained by offering the curriculum framed in consultation with industry experts. Student exposure: Being a part of a resource-rich University, the students have an advantage of interdisciplinary exposure which is not possible in standalone colleges. University-Hotel: The School also trains its students in the campus hotel named UniHotel of 25 rooms hosting national and international guests where students practice along with the staff. Infrastructure: The School has five modern kitchens with two bakeries. All kitchen and bakery are equipped to enable a student to perform scientifically and to attain their best of learning through most modern gazettes. We have few training restaurants to teach a student about the authentic serving style of food and beverage. We are equipped with one front office laboratory, two housekeeping laboratories, two computer laboratories with 60 computers, and a simulation laboratory for aviation. Comparing JIMS and LPU, I would recommend LPU for pursuing Hotel Management course. As university possess a hotel which not only give practical exposure but also the real time ELIGIBILITY :The student must pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) Many reputed companies in this field had visited for the placements drive - Viral International, Jaypee Residency Hotel, Qatar Airways, Air Vistara, P and O Cruise (USA), Al Thiqarestaurant Co (Kuwait), Hyatt (USA), Wolf Great Resort (USA), Jubilant (Dominos), Sapphire Foods (KFC), The Grand (New Delhi), The Leela, Zuri Whitefield, Courtyard Marriot, ITC Hotels, Radisson Blu, The Oberoi Cecil etc. It is the best private university with world-class infrastructure, modern facilities, and highly qualified faculty in India.
