Not pretty sure about the content floated by SASTRA but on the basis of feedback of Alumni of LPU who told that the course is designed for learners who intend to design aircraft, spacecraft, satellites and missiles. In addition, the engineers test prototypes to make sure that they function according to plans. These professionals also design components and sub-assemblies for these craft like engines, air-frames, wings etc. The programme offers :
#Credit Transfer: Student after successful completion of 2 years. At LPU may be given option to join partner/ receiving university abroad for the completion of programme subject to conditions and norms of regulatory bodies. #International Exposure Option: Student may be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. #Semester Exchange: Student may be given an option to join partner/ receiving university abroad for a semester as decided by the University subject to conditions. #A set of four elective courses in an engineering stream to develop a competency beyond the major area:
a. Aircraft Maintenance
b. Space Engineering
In order to take admission, the eligibility is: Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST* (remotely proctored online LPU NEST from home will be conducted). * LPU NEST will be exempted in case student has scored more than or equal to 90 percentile in JEE Mains or 90% aggregate marks in 10+2. LPU promotes following scholarship:
1. On the basis of marks in previous class
2. LPU conducts Lovely professional university national entrance and scholarship test LPU NEST on the basis of which student can enhance their scholarship
3. Some national level tests like JEE Mains, NATA NEET UCEED CAT XAT MAT CMAT NMAT GPAT GATE etc.
4. Performance on the basis of sports, cultural or co-curricular activities.
5. Board Toppers
6. For Orphan students or person with certain disabilities
7. Defence personnel and central armed police forces (CAPF) dependents
8. LPU has also floated COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship for the survivors of COVID and for their dependents as well. # From the above mentioned scholarships, candidate will get one that too which will be maximum one. I will advice you to book the seat at the earliest or maximum by 15-7-2020 to fetch the benefit of good scholarship.

Aerospace engineering branch is one among the newly established branches in SASTRA. Currently, this branch has a good infrastructural facility with well-equipped labs. SASTRA University has been engaged in collaborative research with council for scientific and industrial research (CSIR), defence research and development organisation (DRDO), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Indian space research organisation (ISRO). Moreover, the infrastructure required for higher research fields are also being developed. So, there will bright future for those who opt aerospace engineering.
