Well in my opinion, as you have already made up your mind to go for engineering programme I would suggest you to join for Diploma programme and after that you can go for a lateral entry programme which will be appropriate for you. Here I would recommend you a university which offers both these programmes. But pursuing Diploma engineering will make you eligible to earn sooner and technically you will be more sound once you will be complete engineer after 6 years. More over if you will pursue your Diploma- B.Tech from LPU you will be at good place with a decent job after the completion of your degree.
