Which will be the best option for food processing at NIT, Rourkela or textile technology at NIT, Jalandhar? Please guide me. I am confused.

Hi, Both Food processing and industrial design are different. So it solely depend on you that if you are interested to know the techniques behind food processing as well as gain knowledge for it then just move on for food processing engineering in NIT Rourkela. It is a new branch started in NIT Rourkela and very soon it has gained tremendous popularity in the mean time. It has hold a good placement record instead of a new branch. The placements of NIT Rourkela is good. The average placement of the college is around 6-7 LPA. Mostly, all the student got placed. Last year, the highest package was 29 LPA which is offered by Amazon. Many core and analytical company visit every year. Around 90-100% of the students got placed. In NITJ, placements of Industrial and Production is comparable to mechanical, which is pretty good. Lot of good MNCs come to NITJ for recruitment. Usually number of offers are higher than number of students. And given a choice in between NIT Rourkela and Jalandhar, Rourkela has got better ranking, hence should be preferred.
