UID faculties are experienced, well learned and trained to teach you the best when it comes to fashion designing. The surroundings of the campus give a student the best landscape and encouragement to come up with the best imagnation to cultivate your inner designer talent.

I will always suggest you to join UID simply because UID faculty resources and infrastructure aspects are much better than NIFT. I have personally visited both the places for my cousin sister. I found UID much better infrastructurally atleast. There is a football ground with 8 flood light stands, a loreal parlour, a world class gym with aerobics facilities, two huge ampitheatres, 18 modern workshops for design with advanced tools and machineries, a basketball and a DJ ground, a 500 seater AC cafeteria and what else. You need atleast a complete day to visit the entire campus of UID.

NIFT gives you better learning exposure than UID. All centers of NIFT offer good courses and same weightage.

UID DAT exam was conducted on January 11, 2026. It was from 1 PM to 4 PM. All candidates who appear for Tier I - will be eligible to appear for Tier II - Situation Test (ST) and Portfolio Evaluation (PE).
Yes, you can fill the UID DAT B.Des and M.Des application forms offline. The application is for INR 2000. The application form must have a photograph, signature and must be sent to the address given by the institute.
Candidates must have passed 10+2+3/4 years degree OR must have 5 years Diploma (pass/appearing) in any stream from a recognised institution or university.
