Candidates who have passed Class 12 with at least 60% aggregate with Physics, Mathematics and at least one of Chemistry/ Biotechnology /Biology /Computer Science /Information Technology / Informatics Practices / Engineering Graphics / Botany and Zoology are eligible to apply for SRM Vadapalani BTech programme. Besides, candidates also need to pass SRMJEEE for admission.

SRMIST Vadapalani offers a four-year Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme in three core fields of Engineering under the departments of Mechanical, Computing, and Electrical & Electronics.
The eligibility criteria for B.Tech at SRM University Vadapalani are as follows:
- Students must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Students must also appear in the SRMJEEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam) or JEE Main scores.
- Candidates with valid JEE Main rank are also eligible for admission.
