There are multiple successful alumni of Rhode Island School of Design. One such well-known alumnus of RISD is Robert Richardson, an American cinematographer. He is famous for his trademark aggressively bright highlight and shapeshifting style of film-making. Some of his best contributions to the industry include The Hateful Eight, Born on the Fourth of July, Hugo, and many more. He has achieved the Academy Award for Best Cinematography, thrice making him one of three living persons to receive the same.
