Who can apply for DASA UG?

Foreign nationals studying in any country, including India, as well as Indian nationals studying abroad who meet the specified admission criteria, are eligible to apply for the DASA UG program.
For Indian nationals, the criteria are:
- Completion of at least two years of education, including 11th and 12th grades or equivalent, in a foreign country within the last 8 years.
- Successful completion of the qualifying examination from abroad.
Eligible candidates must also have a JEE Main rank and should have completed Mathematics, Physics, and one additional subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology in their 12th grade. Ad

Candidates who can apply for DASA UG during their counselling process include:
•Non Resident Indians (NRIs) - Indian citizens who are settled outside of India.
• Foreign Nationals- International Students who are willing to pursue education in India.
• Person of Indian Origin - Students with Indian roots i.e. their maternal or paternal father/grandfather are/were Indian citizens.

You can apply for DASA UG 2024 admissions into NITs and IIITs if you fall under any of the following categories:
- Non-Resident Indian (NRI): This applies to Indian citizens or their children residing outside India.
- Person of Indian Origin (PIO): This includes individuals with an Indian parent or grandparent who emigrated from India.
- Overseas Citizen of India (OCI): This category encompasses foreign citizens with Indian ancestry.

Candidates who will qualify for JEE Main 2025 can only apply for DASA UG 2025. That is, candidates who are willing to get admission via DASA can register themselves on the official website of DASA, dasanit.org. The DASA UG 2025 admission will be based on the JEE Main ranks of the Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). Admisison will be made againts the 15% of seats in NITs, IIITs, and other technical institutes for NRI/PIO/OCI/foreign national students. Of these seats, 5% are reserved for children of Indian workers in the Gulf (CIWG).
