Candidates looking to appear for the SET Exam must adhere to the specified eligibility criteria. The fundamental requirement is the successful completion of Class 12 or its equivalent examinations in the relevant streams, recognised by a reputable board or university. It is imperative for candidates to have attained a minimum aggregate of 50%, with a concession of 5% for SC/ST category students. Even those currently in Class 12 or awaiting their results can apply, but they are required to furnish a passing certificate at the time of application. Candidates who have completed their Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with at least 50 per cent aggregate are eligible to apply for SET exam. There is no age limit to appear for the exam. Candidates in the Class 12 or are awaiting the Class 12 results can also apply provisionally and present the marksheet at the time of admission.
The candidate who has completed class 12 or equivalent from a foreign board and must have obtained an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is eligible.
