All the candidates who appeared in JEE Main or JEE Advanced can participate in the JoSAA counselling and seat allotment process. The allotment of seats in NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs will be based on the All India Rank of candidates secured in JEE Main, whereas in IITs, the allotment will be through JEE Advanced rank.JoSAA Counselling is the centralised counselling process for admission to the participating institutes in India, which include the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs).
