    Hello,
    Candidates have to qualify UGC NET exam to pursue for Ph.D. The UGC NET exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency NTA from December 2018, earlier it was organized by the CBSE. Candidates who have qualified post-graduation or in qualifying year of Masters can apply for the NET exam. You can get the complete details related to the exam from here –

    Those who have done their Master's degree have to give NET exams. You can pursue Ph.D after that. It takes a minimum of 5 years or more to complete Ph.D.
