The average salary of a Psychologist is 3.9 LPA while that of a Psychiatrist is INR 12.1 LPA.
In general, psychiatrists earn more than psychologists due to their medical background and ability to prescribe medications. Psychiatrists are medical doctors (MDs) who specialize in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders through medication and therapy.
On the other hand, psychologists, particularly clinical psychologists, focus on therapy and counselling.
