Candidates must have passed Class 12th with at least 50% aggregate. The total course fee for the BTech course at GNDU ranges between INR 4.7 Lacs and INR 10.3 Lacs.

Guru Nanak Dev University offers BTech across three major specilalisations including CSE or Computer Science & Engineering. BTech admission is subject to a valid score in the JEE Main exams. Candidates must also have a valid qualification and participate in the counselling round for the seat allotment procedure. The B.Tech CSE quaification is as follows:
- Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC) in aggregate or any other examination recognised equivalent thereto by GND University, Amritsar.
