The basic eligibility criteria are that candidates must complete their graduation/bachelor's with at least 55% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA/CPI out of 10 without rounding off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for the General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS category.

Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc at IIT Delhi need to fulfil the eligibility criteria specified by the university. Based on the eligibility criteria, an applicant must have completed bachelor’s degree in relevant stream for at least two years/four semesters from a recognised university to be eligible to pursue M.Sc at IIT Delhi. However, Admission to M.Sc course is mainly based on candidate's score in entrance exam accepted by the university, i.e, IIT JAM followed by the counselling process. Candidates are selected based on qualifying marks scored in entrance exam.

Thus, aspirant must hold a valid bachelor's degree in a relevant stream for at least two years (four semesters) and a minimum aggregate between 55% and 80% or 5.5 CGPA out of 10. For MSc cognitive science/economic courses, the accepted degrees are BA/BSc/BCom/BTech/BE/BStat/BMath or equivalent. The total course fee for MSc course is ranges between INR 30K and INR 3 lakh.
