Candidates seeking admission to the BSc programme in general mode as well as in different specialisations are required to meet the Jai Hind College BSc eligibility as mentioned below:
Specialisation
Eligibility Criteria
BSc (General)
Class 12 examination or its equivalent from any Board with at least three Science subjects.
BSc in Information Technology
Class 12 examination or its equivalent with Mathematics and Statistics as one of the subjects and should have secured not less than 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved category candidates).
OR
Three years Diploma in IT/ Computer Technology/ Computer Engineering/ CS/ Electrical, Electronics and Video Engineering and Allied Branches/ Mechanical and Allied Branches/ Civil and Allied branches are eligible for direct admission to the second year. A minimum of 45% aggregate is required (40% aggregate for reserved category candidates).
OR
Post HSC-Diploma in IT/Computer Technology/ Computer Engineering/ CS/ and Allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to the second year. A minimum of 45% aggregate is required (40% aggregate for reserved category candidates).
BSc in Biotechnology
Admission will be based on merit according to order of preference as follows:
- Aggregate at HSC or equivalent
- Aggregate in Science group (Physics, Chemistry and, Biology)
- Aggregate in Biology and, Chemistry. Marks in Biology
- Candidates who have not studied Mathematics and Statistics as one of the Subjects in Class 12 shall have to satisfactorily complete a Bridge course on Mathematics and Statistics during the first year.
