Candidates seeking admission to BA at Shivaji College are required to pass the Class 12 examination. Apart from the eligibility criteria, candidates are also required to appear for the CUET with the following subject combinations as mentioned below:

BA (Programme)	Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2 OR Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2 + Section III of CUET (General Test) BA (programme) combination, where Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications/ CS is one of the two core disciplines, it is mandatory that candidates must have passed Mathematics in Class 12. Similarly, wherever a language is being offered as one of the two disciplines, candidates must have a working knowledge of that language
BA (Hons) English	English from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2
BA (Hons) Hindi	Hindi from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2
BA (Hons) Sanskrit	Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Sanskrit from List B1 + Any two subjects out of which one should be from List B1 OR Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Sanskrit from List A + Any two subjects out of which one should be from List B1 OR Combination III: Sanskrit from List A + Any three subjects out of which at least two should be from List B1 OR Combination IV: Any one Language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2 Candidates who opted for Combination IV for admission will be considered only if seats remain vacant.
BA (Hons) Geography/ History/ Political Science	Any one Language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2
BA (Hons) Economics	Any one Language from List A + Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which one should be from List B1
