Who provides the salary to the WBCS officers?

The candidates should note that the salary of the WBCS officers are provided by the state government. The salaries of the IAS officer posted in the State are also provided from the State Consolidated Funds. The WBCS salaries are prescribed by the State Personel department which directly works under the Chief Minister of the State.
The West Bengal Public Service Commission will mention salaries of the WBCS officers in the official notification.
