Who releases the SSC JE vacancies?

<p>The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is responsible for releasing the number of vacancies for the SSC JE exam. SSC is also responsible for the other stages of the exam like application process, conducting the exam, publishing result, document verification, and appointmnt of the candidates into various departments.</p><p>Initially known as the Subordinate Services Commission, the SSC was established on July 1, 1976, with the main purpose of conducting zonal recruitment for non-technical Group C posts under the Central Government, with the exception of those for which the Railway Service Commission (later RRB) and industrial establishments conducted recruitment. The Staff Selection Commission now handles recruiting for Group B posts under the Central Government as part of its ongoing expansion of duties.The Commission therefore hires for the bulk of the Central Government's workforce. This sector is the most important component of the government apparatus; the positions it fills are those at the entry level that deal with public relations and interface with implementation of Government policies.</p>
