future is quiet good for the next 7-8 years atleast.
you can get into this sector by doing BE/BTech in IT or computer science or BSc IT.

The future of IT sector still looks to be healthy to me as more and more companies are moving towards IT dependence as far as their operations are concered. I suggest Chithra you put this query of yours on the discussion forum and also give your own thoughts about it to ignite the debate.
