Why Amrita doesn't conduct GD and has kept only PI for selecting candidates?

GD is usually conducted to know about awareness about current affairs but instead of it mostly college prefers to conduct essay writings on general topics if students giving the suitable points for the topic are usually get selected and put forward for the PI round for final selection.
