Why B-schools like FMS, SPJIMR, MDI or any top 10-15 close there application before CAT exam? Can't we apply after CAT results are out?

Welingkar Mumbai accepts valid score of CAT for admission in the PGDm programme. However, the institute accepts valid score of other national-level entrance exams such as: CAT, XAT, ATMA, CMAT and GMAT.
