Why do most people in the commerce field take up Chartered Accountancy?

The trend is set by the corruption in India is one of the biggest reason for this. Every parent in India want their son and daughter to be a so called CA, just to earn money through corruption.

Yes, I feel being a chartered accountant myself, most of the students pursuing this course don't even understand what they want to become studying such a rigorous course.

But isn't there an over crowding of CA aspirants who might not have the vision?
