Why do so many engineers in India go for an MBA?

After pursuing engineering you either get a good placement or not , in both the cases there is a situation where you get stagnated at a certain pay grade and position. To go to the management levels, we need to understand management, for that definitely we need an MBA. Lot of people from the core sectors like petroleum go for MBA in Oil and gas, Civil Engineers pursue Infrastructure Management etc. So MBA is defintely a better choice. There are two reasons:
1)As there are large number of engineering graduates passing out every year only few people gets good jobs. So with just engineering degree getting job in the current market is very low. So large number of engineers are forced to do higher studies for better career prospects. Best Higher study options for engineers are two either MBA or M.Tech. M.tech is more similar to B.tech job opportunity is very low and pay too very low but in the case of MBA job opportunity is very high and pay too good.
