Civil Services is one of the toughest examination in India beside JEE or CAT. Once you become IAS or IPS, you can become Joint Secretary within 16 to 18 years of service and also occupy all the top posts in government departments. Also, you can help frame policies and lead their implementation, which can impact country as a whole. After MBA you can get jobs with high salary but your impact will only be within your organization or organization interconnected with your firm but civil servant impact is much beyond.
