Why doesn't one get selected in IIM-A even after scoring 99.5% in the CAT exam?

Depends on several factors: Your background, academics, interview performance and how you present yourself. Also, depends on your body language as well as tone of your voice.

IIMs have different criteria for admission. While CAT score is a very important component in the selection process, it is not the only thing considered.
