    One of the necessities for applicants while going to study overseas is managing their finances. Germany requires opening up a Blocked Account, also known as a Sperrkonto, for applicants planning to apply for the German VISA to study in Germany. This account is required for covering the living expenses of the student. As of 2025, applicants applying for a German student VISA as required to deposit approximately INR 10 - 11 L to cover their daily expenses like housing rent, meals, transportation, supplies, healthcare, and miscellaneous expenses.
