     1. Significance: Historical Background
    It is one of the oldest institutes in the region, established in classrooms in 1950. Therefore, there exists a famous belief that the college contributes to the legend, Akkineni Nageswara Rao as the sculpture.

    Akkineni Nageswara Rao College (referred to as ANR College) is popularly known for its heritage as well as for the education it imparts. The college came into existence in 1950 and changed its name in 1959, to honor the veteran Actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao. It has gradually earned a repute in the region it is located. The college is situated in Gudivada, Andhra Pradesh and it is a constituent college of Krishna University.
