Why is Bacteriology important to a Cosmetologist?

Hi Gopa, Cosmetology is the study and application of beauty treatment. Branches of specialty includes hairstyling, skin care, cosmetics, manicures/pedicures, and electrology etc. Bacteriology in simple term is the study of bacteria. This involves the identification, classification, and characterization of bacterial species.You would also learn of various environments that facilitate spread to bacteria,Infections that could be caused by the same and also the effects. The education of bacteriology helps a cosmetologist to use the various products such as make up products & tools , styling product & tools, manicure tools etc careful and ensure sterilization of the same as the use of the same cosmetic in many people can lead to bacterial transfer from one person to another.
