Bharathiar University received UGC recognition in May 1985. As this university is UGC recognised. It does not require AICTE approval for Technical and Management degrees. It was ranked No. 2 in the State of Tamilnadu and No.14 in the nation according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework, Government of India.
It is not in the top 100 B-schools of India.
